Did you know Joseph and Mary lost Jesus?  In Luke 2:41-52. I asked myself “why is this in the Bible”? What is God trying to teach us today with this story? The caretakers of the Son of God missed placed Him. What happened? Joseph and Mary got busy with life. They just finished the Passover and wanted to get back home. Are we so focussed on what want that we forget what is most important? Today, we must ask ourselves “what have we done with Jesus”? Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Only through Him can we come to the Father. John 14:6 tells us this. So, where is this Jesus in our lives? Have we pressed on forward when He wants to stay? Have we put Him in a box when we should let His Glory show? Who is the Lord of your life? Do we, as christians, follow The Christ? Or has something else taken His place? Often in times where Christ doesn’t appear to be there, we are called to be the light of the world or the salt of the earth. Place there to bring light to the darkness or enhance the flavor. Matthew 5:13-16 gives these callings. So, are we bringing Jesus with us into the conversation or even the room? Have we left Jesus behind? If the people that God entrusted to watch over Himself while He grew (Joseph and Mary) lost track of Him, how much more should we be trying to keep Jesus our focus? In this world there are many things that will distract us. He will not demand our attention, but will wait patiently for us. So let us today, refocus on what matters most! Call upon the name of the Lord and He will save you. Lets us go and find Jesus and never let Him get out of our sight again.  Amen
