The Tongue

There is allot to be said about the tongue in the Bible. Acually over 120 passages that mention the tongue in the scriptures. We will reflect on a couple today.

Let us start with Proverbs 18:21  Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, ans those who love it will eat its fruits.  What we say in our everyday talk effects our very life. If we are speaking goodness into our lives we will reep Life or goodness and if we are speaking evil or bad things into our lives we will reep bad things; example if you are always confessing that you are tired and never do anything different, then you will be tired and never do anything different. But if you are tired and begin to ask God what to do different that will help you to not be tired like get enough rest, pray to God and ask for better rest, Ask God if you need to change your diet….little things the Lord will show you will change your way of thinking and change your life. 

How about Ephesians 4:29  ” let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hererers. If this be the case we should stop talking down to others or speaking only of the wrongs they are doing and begin to speak life into them. Life like I know it is rough now but tommorrow it will be better, or today you did what you said good job. How about I will help you with that or I will listen or maybe just listen hear what is said and pray for them. 

Look here is the thing everyday we speak life and death into our lives and do not think anything about it because we have become numb to speaking bad things and curses into our lives . Let us be diligent to think before we use our tongue Today!!
